Terms and Conditions

  1. Standard hire term for any skip is for 1-7 days (depending on skip size) which includes both the delivery and pick up days (inclusive of weekends & public holidays) unless organised otherwise at time of booking.
  2. The customer or agent shall not move the skip bin.
  3. The customer or agent must accept that placement and location of any skip bin can only be done provided it is safe following OSH regulations for both dropping off and picking up the skip. Skips cannot be placed on steep drive-ways, slopes, sloping terrain or on public land.
  4. The customer or agent shall not light any fires within or near the skip bin (see item 9).
  5. All Council permits must be obtained by the customer. Without a valid permit, skip bins must be placed inside the property boundary on private land.
  6. The customer or agent will incur extra charges at full disposal rate for any unacceptable items or any prohibited waste items placed in any skip bin.
  7. The customer or agent must not place any prohibited waste into any skip and could face possible legal prosecution by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines (DERM) should they place any hazardous waste into any skip bin.
  8. The placement, filling and pick-up of skip bins is under the direct orders and control of the customer or agent. Furthermore, the customer indemnifies Budget Skips or its supplier against any loss, damage or injury as a result of the function performed.
  9. The customer, or their agent, agrees to pay the owner Budget Skips, or its supplier, for any equipment that is damaged, lost or stolen whilst on the customer’s premises or under their control, at the rates invoiced by the owner Budget Skips or its supplier.
  10. The customer or their agent agrees to pay the owner Budget Skips, or its supplier, for any damages caused to the equipment, whilst on the customer’s premises or under their control, at the rates invoiced by the owner Budget skips or its supplier.
  11. The customer or their agent agrees to pay any extra fines or costs including extra disposal fees caused to Budget Skips or its supplier, as a result of overloading, incorrect loading or overfilling of the skip bins by the customer, their agent or other persons, whilst the skip bin is on the customer’s premises or under their control.
  12. Budget Skips, or its supplier, will not accept any responsibility for any injury to person or persons, or damage to property belonging to the customer or any other person, arising out of the use of the service, however such injury or damage was caused.
  13. The placement of the skip bin is at the customer or agent’s verbal or written instructions and, at the time of placement, his or her instructions will constitute the acceptance of these conditions in the event that the owner or agent be absent from the premises at the time of delivery of the skip bin.
  14. The customer agrees to pay the owner Budget Skips, or its supplier, at rates invoiced by Budget Skips or supplier for any extra costs incurred as a result of the owner, customer or agent being ordered to remove the skip bin by any Statutory or Government authority.
  15. Budget skips or its supplier reserves the right to seek additional costs if the customer or its agent fails to disclose or notify Budget Skips, or its supplier, that the load contents are different to what was originally notified, or that any recycle load has been contaminated with any other materials.
  16. A service call fee applies for either a skip bin shift or cancelation of pick up if a truck has arrived to pick up the skip as a result of the hire period being completed and the customer changing their mind regarding pick up time or day.
  17. As per our refund policy, Budget Skips will provide a refund if the customer meets the requirements outlined in our refund policy.
  18. While Budget Skips makes every effort to ensure that skips are available for the price quoted, in some cases we may determine that an order cannot be fulfilled. In this case, the client’s sole remedy will be to accept a refund from us in line with our refund policy.
  19. The Budget Skips online booking tool provides “best pricing” or lowest rate based on a number of factors. Not limited to system issues, this pricing may contain errors. In the event of an error, at its discretion, Budget Skips will attempt to identify the best solution to preserve the customer experience. However, in the event of a serious system error Budget Skips cannot be held to honour incorrect pricing.
  20. By accepting delivery of our skip bin you agree to and acknowledge in full to these terms and conditions.
